Right here in Republic Polytechnic, we are students from Integrated events management, organizing this fundraising event, Jive Fiesta 2008! This event would be held on 12 December 2008(Friday), 11.30am-2pm. We would be having all our events at WEST agora. Our main beneficiary is Children's Cancer Foundation and hence our main event would be an exhibition on the organization, followed by fringe events like the snap snap photography competition and our bazaar. Our theme for Jive Fiesta 2008 would be 'A Pocketful of Love' and hence we hope everyone would share their love generously on this day, plus, expect fun, music, goodies and food! In our second fringe event, it's our bazaar! This movement is about raising awareness among the students and facilitators in RP, so that they are able to understand more on childhood cancer and CCF’s role in these children’s life with relation to the exhibition held.
Here is a list of events that wouldbe present at the bazaar:
- Selling of CCF products and brownies
- Folding of Origami Cranes
- Dedication of Songs
- Balloon Sculpting
Selling of CCF products and brownies: as mentioned in the previous emails can be used as a means to raise funds and create awareness of CCF to the public.
Folding of Origami Cranes: For example, any amount purchased will allow students and facilitators to fold cranes as a tool to create awareness at the same time, people can write their well wishes on the cranes and these origami cranes will then be given to children of CCF.
Dedication of songs: a dedication of songs at $0.50 per song and balloon sculpting will take place also as a mean to raise fund ranging from $1-2.
